There’s a bug in the output style of the Journal of Advanced Nursing which may prevent Write-N-Cite formatting your Word document. To get around this problem you can format your paper in the full version of RefWorks:

Click on Bibliography on the top toolbar

Select the Format Paper and Bibliography option

Browse for your Word document

Click on the Create Bibliography button

Alternatively, you can create your own bug-free version of the output style for use with Write-N-Cite. To do this:

Click on Bibliography on the top toolbar

Select the Journal of Advanced Nursing as the Output Style

Click on the Edit button

Give the output style a new name by changing the text in the Name box

Click on the Save As button

Click on the Bibliography Settings button on the left of the screen

Remove the /f from the Reference List Title box

Click on the Save button

(Removing the /f command, which is the source of the problems, gets rid of the page break before the list of references. Therefore, you’ll need to manually insert a page break in your final document.)
