RefWorks is now available for Graduates and Retired Staff of Queen’s University Belfast!
The RefWorks Support group is pleased to accounce that all students of Queen’s University Belfast are now entitled to have access to RefWorks after graduation through the RefWorks Alumni Program. The same applies to all retired staff of the University.
As alumni of the University you are able to have one free Refworks account with 200MB of file attachment storage, and access to free web-based training and technical support. You can transfer references from an existing RefWorks account to one created under the Alumni program so you shouldn’t lose any references after graduation. Access is through a Group code and you will need this in order to get started.

Dialog plans to launch a direct export (DE) to RefWorks from their Data Star service on January 11th. The DE will be available for Data Star Web and Data Star Classic on the Web. Over 120 databases in total will have the ability to export into RefWorks.
RefWorks will be unavailable on Saturday 2nd January 2010 from 9.00 am for up to 6 hours. This is to allow for an upgrade to the server banks.

RefWorks is planning to launch a new version of its interface in early 2010. This new development is being called RefWorks 2.0.

RefWorks will be unavailable on Sunday 6 December 2009 from 3.00 am to 7.00 am. This is so that ProQuest, who is the parent company of RefWorks, can perform infrastruture maintenance.
